Born and raised in the valley of Phoenix, Az, DECiPHA got his start DJin at the age of 14 when he first heard Funkmaster Flex’s Vol 1 60 Minutes of Funk. Armed with 2-Technic SL-Q3 turntables and a realistic mixer, DECiPHA stayed persistant on learning the art of DJing. At the time, DJing was his hobby, but music production was his passion. DECiPHA use to spend late nights in the studio working on music production for different local hip-hop & R&B artist through out AZ. Learining the art of music and sound production gave him great insight and knowledge to help with his DJing hobby. When the late night studio sessions were over, DECiPHA would head home and spend hours mastering his hobby til the sun came up. Through out the years DECiPHA began take to his hobby of DJing and make it a priority. He would study more and more from the Radio DJ’s that would work the airwaves, and club DJ’s that would work the dance floors. Through practice and determination, DECiPHA worked to create his own sound that would eventually lead him to Phoenix’s #1 radio station as well as headlining spots in the nightclub scene. DECiPHA can now be heard daily on the 5 o’clock Mix as well as weekend and specialty shows including Friday/Saturday Night Jam Session [Hip-Hop/Top40] and “The House Party” [Electro/Progressive House] on Phoenix’s KZON 101.5 JamZ. DECiPHA also holds residencies Thurs-Sat at clubs throughout the Scottsdale/Tempe/Phoenix areas.
